Description: The Software Design Engineer will be part of an innovative team tasked with developing and maintaining software for control and monitoring of Nova Measuring Instruments’ hardware and systems. This includes developing code and algorithms in C/C++, assembly, Python, and other languages, coordinating requirements with hardware teams, conducting unit and system testing, debugging, system validation, making code changes per customer requirements, and recommending changes and improvements. At least 5 years of experience programming in C/C++ and Python is preferred. The Software Design Engineer will also collaborate with customer engineering teams to solve technical issues.
Qualifications / Requirements: Expertise in C/C++ and Python programming, assembly languages, operating systems, computer architecture, and computing platforms. Ability to analyze technical specifications and problem statements, locate and debug issues in software, develop system test plans and coordinate customer requirements with hardware teams.
