Qubit Processor Software Engineer

Description: Design and develop processor and software architectures for ion-trapped quantum computing systems. Responsible for the development and optimization of compiler and language runtime software to translate high-level programming languages to quantum logic programs. Research, model, and simulate qubit processor architectures. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams, technical architects, and research scientists.
Qualifications / Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and at least 3 years of software engineering experience, or a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 1-2 years of software engineering experience. In depth knowledge of computer architecture and software engineering principles, especially with regards to compilers and operating systems. Demonstrable experience with development tools such as assemblers, linkers, and debuggers.
